Update.

It has been a busy rest of November around here.  I was traveling to the Green Bay area for work a few days a week as well as up Merrill for another project.  I think the field work should be winding down for me though...especially since the snow will be falling soon.  Bryan has made it through another round of parent teacher conferences and been busy with a few little projects around the house.  A new ecoflow shower head and a recessed light in our shower and ground some  more stumps down in the backyard.

I had some ladies over from work a couple weekends back and we managed to get the canoes out one last time this season.

Then last weekend Shannon stopped up to make her first quilt.  It is a baby quilt for her friends new baby boy River.  She did an awesome job.  We look forward to Thanksgiving and seeing many of you.

Oh, and my 8 week doctors appointment went well.  It really was just a routine visit getting me into the system, getting family medical history, and drawing blood and urine samples for screenings.  I haven't heard back from them so that is a good thing, as they were only going to contact me if the tests showed something of concern. Our next visit will be an exciting one.  We will get to hear our babies heartbeat and get our first glimpse at it with an ultrasound.  In order for Bryan to make it won't be until Jan.4th when I will 14 weeks along.  I'll be sure to post ultrasound pics and a baby bump pic if i'm showing by then.

Baby on the way!

We are not telling everyone yet, but this past week has been a lot of fun breaking the big news to immediate family and a few closest friends.  We hope to spread the word about this website and the baby at thanksgiving after our 8 week appointment with our midwife on Nov. 20th.

Crafty weekend with the girls!

Last weekend my little sister Alissa made her first quilt and my friend Jane came over as well and tried her hand at appliqué for the first time.  I made a dog bed for buster and a little pillow that will fit in his kennel.  I also started adding names to my name quilt made by my grandma along with a cool little fabric accent to some glass jars I got at an estate sale.
