8 weeks old
I can't believe we almost have a two month old on our hands. Time is just flying by and having to return to work seems to be coming way to soon. I only have three more weeks at home with my little one. If anyone has any tips on how to prepare for this let me know. I have a feeling I may be running home to feed her on my lunch breaks just to see her.
Claire is starting to grab at things now and she loves to hold onto my shirt when she's eating. She has been blessing us with smiles for a couple of weeks. It is so awesome to have her welcome me with a big smile when I go to get her from her crib in the mornings. She has also been cooing more but don't get me wrong she still grunts a lot too but now she has some more lady like sounds coming out too :)
On the non-baby front Bryan and I are both doing really well. Bryan went back to school this week and it sounds like he is pretty happy with his schedule and his kids this semester. Last Wednesday we met some guys out at the beach in Jordan park to practice our kayak roles. I have a long way to go but it was fun to get into the boat again. This labor day weekend I'm treating myself to a massage...amazing how your muscles take a beating caring a 12 pounder around all the time. Then tomorrow we are going to head to rib mountain state park up in Wausau and then a birthday party for a co-worker of Bryan's. Then on Sunday Bryan is going kayaking at the course in downtown Wausau while Claire and I watch and also do a little shopping around downtown. It should be a nice low-key family weekend.
