Sippy cup, walk in the snow....what a day

We gave Claire a sippy cup with some water in it for the first time.  She had no problem putting it in her mouth and sucking on it but needed a little guidance to tip it up so the water could make it to the spout.  We continue to give her cereal now twice a day.  She isn't a huge fan of it yet we can only get 2tsp down her at a time with a lot of patience but I'm sure it will get better as time goes by. We got 4 inches of snow last night and it is just to pretty outside to be in all day so I decided to bundle Claire up and hit the road for a walk with Buster we all enjoyed the fresh air.

6 months old!

So Claire is already 6 months old and we are loving every minute with her.  She is doing great at daycare, is sitting up on her own (she skipped rolling over but her pediatrician doesn't seem to worried about it), seems to have a growing affinity to standing assisted of course but she gets a huge smile when she locks those little legs and stands tall.  She continues to babble but no mama's or dada's yet.  We started solid foods this past weekend and she did really well.  We are up to a teaspoon of cereal and may go for a whole tablespoon tomorrow by next week I hope to add a second feeding while she is at daycare to hopefully cut back on the amount of milk she needs during the day.  She is drinking 15-20oz while at daycare and I pump only 12 or so...I'm so glad I stocked piled a bunch a milk before I went back to work.  So enjoy some more pictures.

Oh and her well visit at the doctors went well she is now 2' 3.25'' tall (95%), 17lbs 5oz (75%), 44 3/4'' Head Circumference (95%)

Time to catch up!

So I've been horrible about posting this past month...I'm going to blame it on enjoying the holidays and finally making some serious progress on the master bathroom remodel.  Both are good reasons i think.  So here are a few pictures from Claire's first Christmas.  She did so well being carted to three holiday parties and a few outings to see friends.   You may notice in the picture by the tree that she is sitting up on her own now.  We still like to be in arms reach in case she loses her balance but she has it down pretty well.
