39 Weeks and change

The anticipation is building and I'm trying to be as patient as possible going about my daily routine waiting for something to start.  We have hit and passed the 39 week mark and quickly coming up on her ultrasound adjusted due date of July 1st...only 2 days away!!! My midwife still goes with the original due date of July 3rd...but she is on vacation that day and Alissa and my mom have a wedding to be at in Hudson so I really hope that isn't the day she decides to show up :)  My weekly appointment was yesterday and we are both doing well.  She is still and in a good position and has dropped even lower since last time which I had already figured out by the amount of trips to the bathroom I take these days :)  I am still feeling relatively good but I would love to get this show on the road whenever she is ready.  My next appointment is July 6th if she still hasn't joined us by then and then I'll have to start making decisions about being induced...ick!

Hopefully next time I post we will have our little girl healthy and happy on the outside with us!!!

38 Week Update

I had my weekly doctors appointment yesterday and found out I am 70% effaced and about 1.5cm dilated and the baby is a good position and settling into the birth canal nicely.  So this is all good news and hopefully LuLu won't make us wait to much longer to meet her.  I have been feeling pretty good but I have had moments of back ache and mild cramping...probably resulting in the effacement and dilation noted above.  I also have been dealing with some swelling of my hands and feet which isn't to much fun but it could be worse.  So I have another appointment next Monday if she doesn't decide to show up before then.  I will definitely keep you all posted.

A weekend of Family

I had a wonderful weekend filled with friends and family.  The baby shower went so well even with the rain outside.  Shannon made the most delicious food, the games Lanae came up with were so fun and Alissa did a great job getting the invites out and made some delicious daquaries as well.  Thanks to everyone that made it out and for all the wonderful gifts.  We can't wait for LuLu to arrive so we can start using all of it!
